Standard Memory Cat - Made From Loved One’s Clothing

Personalisation

A soft, comforting memory cat, lovingly handmade from your loved one’s clothing to keep treasured memories close. Designed to sit beautifully on display while remaining cuddly to hold, each cat is made in my Middlesbrough sewing room.

Size and clothes needed

Your cat measures approximately 14 inches seated and 19 inches standing, with fixed arms and legs for a soft, cuddly feel. Size may vary slightly depending on the clothing used.

Each cat has black safety eyes, a felt nose and my sewn-in safety label, with soft, hypoallergenic, fire-resistant polyester filling.

Please send around 8–10 baby garments or 1–2 adult garments. Extra clothing is welcome for contrasting colours or fabrics.

I support suitable fabrics with interfacing and preserve meaningful details wherever possible. Mention special pockets, logos or names in your order notes. Please contact me before ordering about thick clothing or fabric suitability.

Personalisation

Personalisation is an optional £10 extra for embroidery, printed photos or wording, including reproductions of your loved one’s handwriting on the feet.

Booking and waiting time

My current turnaround is around 6–8 weeks from booking, before posting or collection.

An Express turnaround add-on is available, subject to availability. Please contact me before ordering to check your date.

Pay in full or book with a £25 deposit. The remaining balance is invoiced on completion and must be paid before posting or collection.

I can also make a little top, waistcoat or trousers using your treasured garments. Message me before ordering to discuss a particular outfit and any additional cost.

Care and important information

Sponge clean gently; do not machine wash. This is a collectable keepsake, not a toy, and is not suitable for children under 14.

Your leftover clothing and fabric scraps are returned with your cat. Tracked Royal Mail delivery and appointment-only local collection in Middlesbrough are available.

Memory Cat

I reached out to Stacey at loveablekeepsakes to ask if it would be possible for her to create a memory cat using the clothes of my late father. The reason I wanted a cat is because they were my dad‘s favourite animal, and it was more personal to me to have a cat than it was to have a bear. Stacey was kind enough to create this wonderful cat using a fleece and a shirt. The professional craftsmanship that has gone into creating this cat is impeccable, and the cat has been made with meticulous amounts of attention and care. Cat arrived safely and securely wrapped.
