Handmade Memory Cushion – Made From Loved One’s Clothing
A comforting memory cushion, lovingly handmade from your loved one’s clothing to keep treasured memories close. I make each cushion in my Middlesbrough sewing room, with care for the meaning your garments hold.
Size and clothes needed
Your cushion measures approximately 17 inches square, with a soft, hypoallergenic, fire-resistant polyester inner pad included. Size may vary slightly depending on the clothing used.
Please send at least 1 garment, or 2 if you’d like a different fabric on the back. You’re welcome to send extra clothing.
If your garment has a button-down opening, I’ll use this on the back of your cushion so the inner pad can be removed. Otherwise, I’ll make an envelope-style opening at the bottom.
I support suitable fabrics with interfacing where needed and preserve meaningful details wherever possible. Mention special pockets, logos or names in your order notes. Please contact me before ordering about thick clothing or fabric suitability.
Personalisation
Add a printed fabric heart for £10, personalised with a photo, meaningful wording or a reproduction of your loved one’s handwriting.
A heart is the standard shape for this option, but other shapes are available if you prefer. Please select the paid personalisation option and let me know your chosen details and preferred shape when ordering.
Booking and waiting time
My current turnaround is around 6–8 weeks from booking, before posting or collection.
An Express turnaround add-on is available, subject to availability. Please contact me before ordering to check your date.
Pay in full or book with a £25 deposit. The remaining balance is invoiced on completion and must be paid before posting or collection.
Optional extras
Add another keepsake made from your treasured clothing, such as a hanging heart, keyring and more.
Care and important information
Hand wash only, do not tumble dry, and allow to air dry naturally. Handle gently to protect your treasured fabrics.
This cushion is a keepsake item, not a toy.
Your leftover clothing and fabric scraps are returned with your cushion. Tracked Royal Mail delivery and appointment-only local collection in Middlesbrough are available.

I had my mother's shawl made into a cushion. The fabric was knitted and had a small hole where my mam used to fiddle with it so I wasn't hopeful that anything could be done with it.
