Personalised Keepsake Christmas Sack Made From Your Clothes

Turn those treasured little outfits into a beautiful handmade Keepsake Christmas Sack that can become part of your family traditions and be brought out and enjoyed year after year. 🎄❤️

Whether it’s made from your baby’s First Christmas outfits, festive clothes collected over several Christmases, or simply favourite outgrown baby and children’s clothing, each sack is individually designed to preserve as many of those special details and memories as possible.

The front is lovingly created from your supplied clothing in a patchwork design, while the back and full lining are made from soft red fleece. A red cord drawstring gathers the sack approximately 6 inches from the top, creating the traditional gathered Santa sack shape when tied.

Rather than cutting every garment into identical squares regardless of its design, I work around the clothing you send. Larger pictures, characters, pockets, wording, appliqués and other special details can be incorporated into larger panels wherever possible, helping to keep the most meaningful parts of the original clothing recognisable. 🧵✨

Every sack is individually cut, stabilised, sewn and finished by hand in my Middlesbrough home sewing room, where your treasured clothing is treated with the utmost care.

TURNAROUND TIME 💗

The average turnaround time for handmade clothing keepsakes is approximately 6–8 weeks from the date your order is placed. This reflects my current sewing diary and the time and care given to each individual keepsake.

If you require your sack for a specific date, particularly in the run-up to Christmas, please contact me before ordering so I can confirm availability.

You will receive a confirmation email after purchase, followed by detailed instructions for sending your clothing. Once your clothing arrives, I will message or email you to confirm it has been received safely.

When your order is booked into my sewing diary, I will provide an estimated completion date.

PAYMENT OPTIONS ✨

You can choose to pay in full when placing your order or secure your booking with a £25 non-refundable deposit.

If you would prefer to secure your space with a £25 non-refundable deposit, please use the deposit option available on my website.

The remaining balance will be invoiced upon completion of your keepsake. No keepsakes are posted or available for collection until full payment has been received.

HOW IT WORKS 💜

• Send your clothing following the instructions provided after ordering.

• I will confirm the safe arrival of your garments.

• Your clothing is carefully planned, cut and transformed into your unique patchwork keepsake sack. 🧵✨

• Final payment is made if applicable.

• Your finished keepsake is safely returned home to you, together with any remaining clothing and fabric scraps unless you request otherwise.

ITEM DETAILS 💗

Your Keepsake Christmas Sack measures approximately 24 inches wide × 36 inches high (61 × 91 cm).

The standard patchwork front is created from 24 approximately 6-inch finished sections, arranged four across and six high.

I recommend supplying at least 12–14 baby or children’s garments, as I can normally obtain approximately two suitable sections from each item. You are very welcome to send additional clothing, as this gives me greater choice when planning your design and selecting the most meaningful details.

The 24 sections do not have to remain as individual squares. Depending on your clothing, two or even four sections may be combined to create a larger panel. This is particularly useful for preserving larger pictures, characters, wording, pockets, appliqués or other details that would otherwise have to be cut through.

Every clothing section is backed with 100% cotton interfacing to provide additional stability and structure and help prevent softer or stretchy fabrics from losing their shape over time.

The back and full internal lining are made from soft red fleece and the sack is finished with a red cord drawstring closure.

As every sack is individually handmade from your own clothing, the exact patchwork arrangement, colours and finished appearance will be completely unique to you.

PERSONALISATION 💗

Optional embroidered name personalisation is available when ordering and can be selected from the product options.

If the clothing you provide already includes your child’s name, initials, special wording or another personalised detail, I can incorporate this into the patchwork wherever possible rather than adding new embroidery.

If there are particular pictures, characters, logos, pockets, wording or other areas of the clothing that are especially important to you, please leave details in the notes at checkout. I will always do my best to feature them within the finished design. ❤️

NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS CLOTHES 🎁

Your keepsake sack does not have to be made solely from Christmas outfits.

It can be created from Baby’s First Christmas clothing, festive outfits collected over several years, favourite outgrown baby and children’s clothes, or a mixture of treasured garments.

Although designed beautifully as a personalised Christmas or Santa sack, you could also have one created from favourite everyday clothing and bring it out each year as a special birthday present sack. 🎂✨

It’s a lovely way of giving clothes that hold precious memories a new purpose rather than leaving them packed away in a box.

CLOTHING INFORMATION 💗

Most types of baby and children’s clothing can be incorporated into your sack. Different fabrics, textures and garment details are all part of what makes each finished keepsake unique.

Please ensure all clothing is clean and completely dry before sending.

I cannot guarantee that every garment or every requested feature will be used, as this will depend on the size, condition, fabric and suitability of the clothing supplied. Sending a little extra clothing gives me more flexibility when creating the final design.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS 💗

Your sack is a handmade keepsake created from pre-loved clothing and should be treated with care.

Gentle hand washing is recommended. If machine washing becomes necessary, use a low-temperature gentle/hand-wash cycle. Allow to air dry naturally and do not tumble dry.

DELIVERY & COLLECTION ✨

If you are local to Middlesbrough, you are welcome to select local collection at checkout. Clothing can be dropped off and your finished keepsake collected once completed.

All posted keepsakes are carefully packaged and dispatched using a secure tracked Royal Mail service for their journey home.

This is a handmade keepsake and gift sack, not a toy.
