About Me

Hi, I’m Stacey, the maker behind Loveable Keepsakes. I run my small business from my sewing and craft room at home in Middlesbrough, making memory bears, cushions and smaller sewing keepsakes from treasured clothing, alongside personalised printed gifts.

My love of sewing began with my Mam. She was always making something, from curtains to clothes. As a single parent, she couldn’t always afford the latest fashions, so she made them, including a shell suit each for me and my two brothers! She bought me my first little pink sewing machine when I was about eight, and a proper machine followed a year or so later.

When we lost my Mam in 2015, I wanted to make something I could treasure. The only clothing I had of hers was her fluffy bed socks, so I made them into a memory bear. I shared it on my personal Facebook page, and that was where it all began.

I know from my own experience how comforting it can be to have a keepsake made from a loved one’s clothing. Their clothes can hold so many memories, and having something made from them to hold close means so much.

Loveable Keepsakes is much more than a job to me. Customers trust me with their most precious clothing, and creating beautiful handmade keepsakes for them to treasure is why I love what I do. My heart and soul go into every keepsake I make.

I understand that sending treasured clothing can feel like a big step. You don’t need to have everything worked out before getting in touch. If you’re unsure which keepsake to choose or which clothes to use, I’m happy to talk it through with you.

I label your clothing, note the details that matter most and talk through everything with you before starting. I also make keepsakes from children’s clothing, preserving memories of their early years and special milestones.

Outside my sewing room, I love spending time with my grandchildren and my two beautiful fur babies, Bella and Teddy.
